Our annual Festive Fundraiser aims to spread holiday cheer to all patients, residents, and mums-to-be across Powys Teaching Health Board hospitals and care homes during the Christmas season.
Each year, Powys Health Charity hosts its Festive Fundraiser, a heartfelt initiative designed to bring holiday cheer to patients, residents, and mums-to-be across Powys Teaching Health Board hospitals and care homes.
For many, the festive season can be a time of isolation, especially for those separated from loved ones due to illness or care needs. Through the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers, this campaign ensures that everyone receives a Christmas gift, helping to brighten spirits and remind individuals that they are not alone.
The Festive Fundraiser is more than just a seasonal gesture. It’s a meaningful way to show compassion and community spirit. Every gift delivered carries with it a message of kindness and connection, making a lasting impact on those who might otherwise miss out on the joy of the holidays.
We’re inviting individuals, teams, and workplaces to take part in our Festive Fundraiser, a simple and joyful way to make a difference this season.
Step 1: Dress Festively
Gather your friends or colleagues and embrace the festive spirit. Whether it’s a Christmas jumper, antlers, tinsel, or simply standing in front of a decorated tree, let your inner Elf shine.
Step 2: Take an Elfie-Selfie
Snap a cheerful photo and share it with us. You can tag us on social media (@pthbcharity) or email your photo to pthb.charity@wales.nhs.uk.
Step 3: Raise Funds
Collect a minimum of £2 from everyone taking part in your Elfie-Selfie, and from anyone else who’d like to support the campaign.
Step 4: Donate
Donate the funds you’ve raised via our online platform, or visit our charity webpage for alternative ways to donate by cash or cheque. Any funds raised over and above this fundraising target will be allocated to the unrestricted Powys wide General Fund.
Throughout December, we’ll be sharing one Elfie-Selfie each day across our social media channels, giving a special shout-out and thank you to everyone who supports the campaign.
