Charity Teams Summer Tour
The Charity Teams 2024 Summer Tour made its way through Powys, fostering new connections and strengthening ties with staff, teams, and community members. Over the course of a few weeks, the team had the pleasure of visiting all of Powys Teaching Health Board’s (PTHB) main hospital sites in the summer of 2024.
“We were truly excited to meet so many dedicated staff members across our health sites, hear their ideas, and explore how charitable funds can best support their efforts to care for patients,” said Martin O’Brien, the Charity Manager. “These visits were a wonderful opportunity to build lasting relationships and ensure that our work aligns with the real needs of the healthcare community.”
During each visit, the charity team spoke with staff to understand their unique needs and explore how charitable contributions can make a meaningful impact on patient care. The Charity team were thrilled with the feedback and ideas shared by healthcare workers, which will help guide future funding ideas and decisions.
“We’ve had some fantastic conversations already, and we enjoyed meeting and speaking with staff at every stop on our tour,” the Martin added. “Each interaction brings us closer to achieving our mission of improving patient care across the region.”
