This May, communities across Powys came together to take part in May’s Miles 2025, a month-long wellbeing challenge with a powerful purpose: to support Improving Infant Feeding in Powys.

The campaign encouraged people to boost their wellbeing through movement or creativity, while raising funds for an important local cause. Whether it was walking, cycling, reading, knitting, baking, or dancing, every mile (or its creative equivalent) helped contribute to something bigger.

Why Infant Feeding?

In collaboration with the Women’s and Children’s team at Powys Teaching Health Board, this year’s May’s Miles focused on supporting infant feeding. By improving support for breastfeeding and early nutrition, we can help reduce common childhood illnesses such as ear, chest, and gut infections, while also supporting the physical and mental health of mothers.

Thanks to everyone who got involved, we’re thrilled to share that we secured nearly £2,700 in funding!

And we’re not stopping here! May’s Miles will be back next May, supporting another important cause in Powys. We can’t wait to move with you again!
